Replica Keys for Houdini's Mirror Handcuffs

For many years,I have been researching one of Houdini's most challenging escapes, the Daily Illustrated Mirror Handcuff Challenge, of March 17th 1904.

A special handcuff taking over 5 years to develop was used by the Daily Illustrated Mirror to challenge Harry Houdini.

This handcuff had one of the most complicated locks ever used in a restraint. Houdini struggled with the handcuff,and finally released himself in just over one hour.

After studying photographs of the handcuffs and keys, and talking to experts who have seen and handled them, I have finally been able to produce a replica key for Houdini collectors.

The replica key is as accurate as possible, and originally was made by hand in my workshop. After considerable interest from collectors, I have decided to produce a limited edition of 100 replicas, in a handsome custom made,
jewellery quality presentation case.

These replicas are precision cast in white bronze, by a company who specialises in making high quality metal props for the Movie Industry.

The keys will also come with a signed, numbered and dated Certificate of Authenticity, and a small booklet describing how I made the original replica.

This will surely become a collector's item.
